CAMRAIL Schichtplaner is an open-source, self-hosted workforce scheduling and shift management software designed for railway operations. Powered by modern web technologies and AI optimization (Claude API / Anthropic), it streamlines shift planning, real-time time tracking, and leave management without reliance on external SaaS platforms.

- Shift Scheduling & 4 Schedule Views: Flexible, Classic, Employee-Centric, and Monthly Overview layouts, combined with real-time shift bidding sessions via Socket.IO and employee shift preference requests.
- Time Tracking & Overtime Alerts: 3 tracking modes (Stopwatch, Manual Time Range, Fixed Duration) with automatic compliance warnings when work hours exceed legal limits.
- Absence & Leave Workflows: Streamlined request and approval system for vacations and sick leave, integrated with regional holiday rules.
- AI Auto-Planner & Assistant: AI-assisted schedule generation, anomaly detection, weekly smart briefings, and conversational scheduling assistant powered by Claude AI.
- Internal Portal & PDF Reporting: Integrated team messaging, discussion forums, S3/MinIO file storage, and automated monthly PDF report generation.
